Australian Airlines 2017 Charity Round
Sunday 21st May, 2017
@ Yarrambat Golf Club
May is the Charity Round for 2017,
with the Diamond Valley Multiple Birth Association the Charity we will be supporting this year.
Here is a run-sheet of activities for the day
BEFORE GOLF (from7:30am):
The day kicks off with a pre-game breakfast at Sir Alf's, commencing from 7:30am
The fundraising starts early with a couple of activities before we tee off,
which could set you up nicely for the day if you play your cards right.
This includes:
* Take 2 shots off another players handicap for a $5 donation
* Lucky dip (giving you a possible advantage when out on the course) for a $5 donation
These two activities will close by 8:30am when we will head to the course, so don't be late!
ON THE COURSE (from 9am):
Once on course we will again be running the Bucket Challenge over each hole,
where you need to meet the criteria outlined in the bucket or donate $1
We will also have Nearest the Pin competitions on all par 3's,
and a Longest Drive and Nearest Second Shot hole on both the front and back 9.
Prizes are up for grabs on all of these holes, so there are 8 chances to win!
AFTER GOLF:
After the round it is back to Sir Alf's for a late lunch and to tally up the results for the day.
The bar will be open, and we will be running a raffle and auction to raise some additional funds.
(If you have anything you can donate to the raffle or auction please let one of the committee know).
COST:
The cost of the round is $60, which includes breakfast, golf, lunch and a raffle ticket.
GUESTS:
To ensure we get as many people as possible (we can have up to 32 players) there is an added incentive,
in that each member who brings a guest will get an additional 2 shots on their handicap.
And yes, if you bring 2 guests, this will give you 4 shots on your handicap.
With the activities above possibly costing you a couple of shots,
this is a great way to potentially even things up,
and introduce someone new to the club at the same time.
Note: With Members having priority for spots, guest spots may be limited.
Please check with Sir Rob to ensure availability for any guests.
Hope to see you all there on what should be a great day, raising funds for a very worthy cause.
